Abstract

Geopolitics is the analysis of the interaction between, on the one hand, geographical settings and perspectives and, on the other, political processes. Both geographical settings and political processes are dynamic, and each influences and is influenced by the other. Geopolitics addresses the consequences of this interaction. Kenya is an anchor State and strategic partner to USA in Global War on Terror in the Horn of Africa region. This paper seeks to unearth the impact of this partnership. In this endeavor, the paper will be guided by the following objectives; to find out the geopolitical impact of Kenya-USA partnership in the Horn of Africa, to find out the geopolitical impact of this partnership in the globe, and finally the challenges faced in this partnership on counterterrorism. The paper will adopt a qualitative approach by critically analyzing the available literature to arrive at a logical conclusion.
